In June of 1956, seven Spokane area Federal Government employees came together to form Spokane Federal Credit Union. In the beginning, SFCU was managed by volunteers who handled everything including accepting deposits and making loans to their fellow members. As the organization has evolved, Spokane Federal has developed into a world class financial institution. An institution with a highly trained staff and a robust suite of products and services.
Our involvement with Spokane Federal spans more than 5 years. Zipline was originally hired to assist Spokane Federal with a transition from a traditional website to a secure, content managed and mobile-friendly online experience. This initial engagement produced an award winning website that served the credit union faithfully for more than 5 years. In 2017, with a number of new upgrades taking place within the credit union, it became time to rethink the website. A great deal has changed within the organization and the industry in the past 5 years. Spokane Federal wanted to showcase its evolution with a fresh new look and feel.
Spokane Federal again hired Zipline to help create a next generation website solution. We worked closely with their team to create a simple, engaging, and responsive online experience that is not only simple and intuitive, but that also highlights the deep connection between Spokane Federal and its members. Spokane Federal is known for having an intimate connection with its members and the new website helps to highlight and showcase just how important its members are to the organization.
The new website not only works great but integrates the latest web technologies. The new website is powered by our powerful ZLCMS content management system and provides Spokane Federal with the ability to easily add or update content. The website also includes a robust mobile and tablet experience that makes interacting with the website a seamless and user friendly experience no matter what device or platform a customer chooses. Most importantly, the new website has been designed with accessibility and security in mind. Our team worked diligently to integrate and test against the latest accessibility guidelines and techniques to make sure that all Spokane Federal members have a great experience interacting with the website.
